PSYCHOLOGY
KIA ORA,
I'm Kirsty Robinson, a Registered Psychologist who currently works with children, adolescents and young adults. True North Psychology is my Rangiora- and Christchurch-based private practice.

I care deeply about helping my clients work through challenging times and live life in a way that encompasses more of the things that are truly important to them. I do this by supporting them to develop new skills, gain insight and perspective, care for themselves well, and learn to recognise and use their natural strengths and talents.

I hold a Master of Arts (Distinction) and Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Family Psychology from the University of Canterbury. I am registered with the NZ Psychologists Board and am a member of the NZ Psychological Society. I am an approved ACC Sensitive Claims provider, offering ACC-funded support for children and adolescents who are eligible.

MY EXPERTISE
As a Child and Family Psychologist, I have the specialist knowledge and experience required to provide evidence-based and developmentally-appropriate support to children and young people. My expertise extends to working with parents, caregivers, and educators; helping them to develop the knowledge, skill and confidence necessary to positively influence the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people in their care. I offer psychological therapy/intervention and complete assessments when time allows.

NEURODIVERSITY-AFFIRMING SUPPORT
A particular area of my expertise, drawing on professional knowledge and personal experience, is working with neurodivergent children, young people and their parents. My aim is to help neurodivergent clients identify and harness their strengths, improve confidence and self-esteem, develop self-advocacy skills, and find effective ways of managing the challenges associated with their neurodivergence.
